Maddie Meisel, 14, member of the Seal Beach Swim Club, graduating 8th grader from Newcomb and future student at Millikan, was chosen to participate in USA Swimming’s elite Zone Select Camp for the Western Zone: at Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ) that took place on May 27-30, 2010.  Maddie qualified for the camp with her 400 meter freestyle time of 4:37.14.

USA Swimming sponsors four Zone Select Camps in an effort to identify the emerging young athletes in each Zone and offer them a unique motivational and educational experience to move on to the national scene.  A total of 28 male and 28 female athletes are selected in each of the four Zones.
